Nikola Makojevic was born on 27/09/1979 in Kragujevac, where he finished elementary and high school as an excellent pupil. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Marketing at Faculty of Economics in Kragujevac in 2002 with an average 8.03.
During his studies , he actively participated in several international seminars Cologne: The Anti -Corruption in Transition ; Belgrade: Privatization as the direction of liberal politics ; Sofia : Social policy in the transition period in South-East Europe, Ghent, Brussels: Economic Policy in globalization, and Piteşti: Transition results and experiences in Romania.
He organized (2001 ) a seminar for students of the Faculty of Economics in Kragujevac,  where a lecture was held by professors from Lund University, Sweden and Piteshti University, Romania. In 2003 he successfully participated in training seminar organized by the EU in the Czech city of Brno on ''Project cycle management'. During his studies he was President of the Student Sports Association and is actively involved in organizations Ekonomijada.
He started working at Faculty of Economics in Kragujevac in 2003 as a teaching assistant covering next subjects at the Bachelor level: National Economy, Tehnical progress and Economic Development and Economic system theory. In 2006 he has completed postgraduate studies at Faculty’s Department of Theory and Policy of Economic Development, with an average of 9.75/10.00. Thesis was defended in December 2006 after which he was appointed as a teaching and research assistant.
In 2007 he won Bursary Award form University of Lugano and entered Swiss Finance Intitute as a student at Master of Science program, major finance and banking. He defended thesis in front of prof. Francois Degeorge, an expert in the field of corporate finance and management, and Antonio Vegezzi. The research area for Master thesis was related to private equity and venture capital investment funds.
He received his Ph.D. from the University Singidunum in 2011, before a committee composed of Prof. . Zoran Jeremic , prof . Goran Pitić and prof . Miroljub Hadzic . He was appointed as an assistant professor at the University of Kragujevac, from 2011 covering next subjects: National Economy (Bachelor), Economic development financing (Master) and Regional Economy (PhD)
In addition to the Faculty of Economics, he has collaborated with the University Singidunum ( 2008-2012 ), VentureExchange , a company based in Zagreb on project analysis capabilities to develop alternative sources of financing in the countries of the Western Balkans and the Center for Technology Transfer at the University of Belgrade, on the project of creating spin-off companies whose owners were professors and researchers of the University.
In the school year 2011/2012 he was engaged in the MBA studies Kurt Boch Institute.
In April of 2012 he became an associate at IPA project, as an expert of the EU, with the aim of completing the prerequisites for the development of alternative sources of financing in the Republic of Serbia.
By the decision of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Serbia, in March 2013. he was appointed as a member of the working group for the preparation of the legal framework necessary for the development of alternative sources of funding.
