Vladan Ivanovic was born on 22.02.1981. in Kragujevac, Serbia. After sucesfully complation of Grammar School, he has enrolled Faculty of Economics , University of Kragujevac , Department of General Economy in 2000/2001. He obtained Diploma degree in 2005 as the best student in generation with a GPA of 9.76 (of 10.00).
During the undergraduate studies he was awarded annually as the best student in the generation, and was the holder of a number of scholarships: Fund "Dragoslav Srejović ", The Norwegian Kingdom, Fund "Mihajlo Pupin", Fund "Studenica" and the European Movement in Serbia. During the 2003/2004 he was student vice-dean.
He has finished Master studies (old programm) at the Faculty of Economics , University of Kragujevac,, Department of Theory and Policy of Economic Development, with GPA 10.00 (of 10,00). In 2009, he defended with distinction Master thesis, "The modern concept of the public sector and its role in achieving stability and efficiency of the national economy".
Since January 2011, as a scholar of Konrad-Adenauer-Fondation, he is a PhD candidate at the University of Hohenheim , Germany. The title of the thesis is „Die Übertragbarkeit der Institutionen der sozialen Marktwirtschaft auf Transformationsländer". In 2011 he has submitted  a dissertation project at the Faculty of Economics University in Kragujevac with the title "Theoretical and methodological analysis of institutional factors of economic growth - evaluation of transition economies".
During Oktober/November 2013 he was researcher at the University of Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Cambridge, USA.
In early 2006 (January-March) he worked at the Ministry of Finance – budget sector, of the Republic of Serbia . In 2006 he was elected for a teaching assistant, and in 2010 for a lecturer in Comparative Economic Systems (CES) and Public Economics 2010. He was holding the exercises (2009/2010) of two additional subjects: Economic Doctrines and Macroeconomic Analysis.
In 2009, as a scholar of the University of Oslo, he  successfully completed International Summer School (programs: "International Development Studies" and "Professional Development Seminar") in Norway. During the same year successfully completed a module on the MBA program, "Legal and ethical aspects of executive decision making" at the University of New York in Belgrade.
In 2007, he participated in the program "Thousands young leaders of Serbia" , organized by the National Office of the President of the Republic of Serbia.
